The Gabelli School of Business (Gabelli School) allows students around the world to study and develop critical business skills in the heart of New York City.

Fordham University seeks an Executive Director of Development for the Gabelli School of Business (EDoD). They will lead the continued growth of philanthropic revenue from individuals for the Gabelli School. The candidate will identify potential donors, forge new relationships, and expand the Gabelli School’s financial resources and visibility. They will further penetrate the New York City philanthropic marketplace and command the full fundraising potential of the prospective constituency.

The successful candidate will serve as a frontline fundraiser with responsibility for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of a personal portfolio of major gifts donors and prospects. The candidate will partner with the Dean, administrators, and advisory board to develop and execute the major gifts strategy for the Gabelli School. The Executive Director will also work closely with DAUR’s central Fordham Fund team (responsible for securing annual support) regionally assigned major gift officers and Institutional Giving team to support their solicitation activity.

In partnership with the Campaign Committee and key leadership, the successful candidate will lead the $75 million Centennial Campaign for the Gabelli School, which is currently at 66% of its goal, to timely and successful completion.

The Executive Director will report to the Senior Associate Vice President for Development (with a dotted line to the Dean) and lead a team of two front-line major gifts officers and two administrative staff serving the Gabelli School of Business.
