To help fulfill its institutional vision and connect alumni to resources, Fordham Law seeks an exceptional leader and alumni relations professional to serve as the Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Public Programming (SDARPP). The SDARPP will lead the Alumni Relations team and provide innovative, effective strategies and management. In accordance with Fordham Law’s vision, the SDARPP has the opportunity to design and execute a strategic plan that will connect alumni across the world and create a pipeline to help the next generation of alumni and legal professionals.
S/he will bring senior leadership experience and a record of success in alumni/constituent relations in an institution of higher education. Along with confidence and high emotional intelligence, the SDARPP will have strong management experience and the demonstrated ability to effectively engage a passionate alumni network of 22,000. The SDARPP will be a dynamic leader who will implement creative strategies to build capacity by identifying, tracking and nurturing alumni, while ensuring that relationships with existing constituencies are broadened and deepened, and promoting a bond of loyalty and support between Fordham Law and its graduates and supporters. Leadership and management abilities will include effective motivation, mentoring, and team building. S/he will possess the talent to leverage team members’ existing capacity and strengthen performance, while maintaining best practices, camaraderie, and shared accountability.
